NerdsHeartYA: Last Day to Nominate

Just a quick post to remind anyone who knows of any good, underpublicised young adult fiction that was written last year to pop over and nominate it for NerdsHeartYA. Today (March 31st 2010) is the last day to nominate books and after that we’ll be working up a shortlist for the judges to get their teeth into.

I’m already really excited about the tournament. So far there’s been a great crop of nominations turned in, we have a bunch of terrific people signed up to consult with us on the shortlist creation and lots of wonderful bloggers signed up to judge the short list. I’m looking forward to see how it all works out and which book will be crowned the ultimate winner.

I can't fricken wait either. It sucks, I don't read a ton of new YA so I couldn't think of anything to nominate which fit in the guidelines!

Actually, let me amend that, before blogging I didn't read new YA, so yeah can't wait to check out some of the noms.

I'm so bummed that this is happening in the midst of a time when I've been mostly offline--not only did I miss the call for judges, but I'm back online just in time to learn I'm missing the call for nominations as well. Looking forward to seeing the brackets, though!

April it's ok because soon you will be hearing about tons of new, underpublicised YA! Yay I am so excited too, can't wait to see what you judges do with the shortlist once it's created.

Ali I'm sorry you missed out on nominating this year (see this is what happens if you turn the computer off ever ;) . I hope you enjoy watching the tournament play out.
